Bonsai!!!

With peppers. I was kind of skeptical about this. They basically said dig up your pepper plants at the end of the season and they will be incredibly strong for the following year.

And I dug, not really deep, just got some of the roots and soil and put it in a gallon, maybe a half gallon container. And the next week the tired chili plant was setting new flowers, which I pollinated by hand. And the peppers grew and were tasty. I snagged two other plants before the frost came and those are now putting forth flowers too! These might even be bigger than when the plant was in the ground!

I did give them some fresh potting soil and I keep watering them from my fish tank… But dang they are much more resilient than I thought… I really expected they would fade away under the stress. But my little indoor pepper trees are going strong. And mostly pretty lush looking.
